In this privacy policy, the expressions "we", "us" and "our" are a reference to Bow Energy Ltd

Your privacy is important to us. This statement outlines our policy on how we manage the personal information we hold about our customers and others.

2.1 Sensitive information is a special category of personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). It is information or an opinion about you, relating to racial or ethnic origin; political opinions; membership of a professional or trade association or membership of a trade union; religious beliefs or affiliations; philosophical beliefs; sexual preferences; criminal record and health or disability.

2.2 The Privacy Act 1988, requires that sensitive information, in most cases, only be disclosed with your consent.

3. Collection of your information

3.1 We only collect personal information or sensitive information that is necessary for us to carry on our functions and activities as an exploration company focussed on discovery of commercial oil and coal seam gas projects, including (but not limited to) information in relation to:

  1. collecting and logging this information for statistical purposes and for purposes such as receiving email alerts;
  2. matters relating to our marketing and promotional activities; and
  3. any other matter reasonably necessary to function as an exploration company focussed on discovery of commercial oil and coal seam gas projects.

3.2 When you engage in certain activities on our web site, such as using a service, registering as a user, entering a contest or promotion, filling out a survey or sending us feedback, we may ask you to provide certain information. It is completely optional for you to engage in these activities.

3.3 If you elect to engage in these activities, we may ask that you provide us personal information, such as your first and last name, mailing address, email address, telephone and facsimile numbers, and other personal information.

3.4 Depending upon the activity, some of the information we ask you to provide is identified as mandatory and some as voluntary. If you do not provide the mandatory data with respect to a particular activity, you will not be able to engage in that activity.

3.5 We utilise "cookies" which enable us to monitor traffic patterns and to serve you more efficiently if you revisit the site. A cookie does not identify you personally but it does identify your computer. 4.4 If you have received communications from us and you no longer wish to receive those sorts of communications, you should contact info@bowenergy.com.au and we will ensure the relevant communication ceases.

4.5 You may ask to have the information on your account deleted or removed, however, we may keep track of past transactions for our accounting and audit requirements. Furthermore, it may be impossible to completely delete your information because some information may remain as backups.

4.6 Any other use or disclosure we make of personal information and sensitive information will only be as required by law or as permitted by the Privacy Act 1988 or by your consent to this document.

5. Data quality and security

5.1 All personal information and sensitive information which we collect (including your contact details and other personal information) is kept confidential to the best of our ability. You will appreciate, however, that we cannot guarantee the security of transmission.

5.2 We will take all reasonable steps to:

  1. make sure that the personal information and sensitive information we collect, use or disclose is accurate, complete and up to date;
  2. protect your personal information and sensitive information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure both physically and through computer security methods; and
  3. destroy or permanently de-identify the information if it is no longer needed for its purpose of collection.

6.1 You are entitled to have access to any personal information or sensitive information relating to you which you have previously supplied to us over this web site. You are entitled to edit or delete such information unless we are required by law to retain it.
